Hospital History

December 1953

Kuwabara Clinic opened.

December 1959

Changed to Kuwabara Surgical Hospital (20 beds) and became an emergency designated hospital in April.

August 1966

Expanded to 46 beds, changed the hospital name to Kuwabara Hospital, providing surgical and internal medicine services.

August 1968

Expanded Nagitsuji Clinic and became Nagitsuji Hospital (22 beds).

December 1969

Expanded Kuwabara Hospital to 77 beds.

July 1975

Expanded Nagitsuji Hospital to 45 beds.

August 1981

Expanded Nagitsuji Hospital to 66 beds.

December 1982

Incorporated Nagitsuji Hospital, naming the corporation Keijinkai Medical Corporation.

October 1985

Expanded Nagitsuji Hospital to 79 beds.

December 1985

Expanded Nagitsuji Hospital to 111 beds.

November 1988

Reorganized Kuwabara Hospital into a corporation; Keijinkai Medical Corporation now operates both Nagitsuji and Kuwabara hospitals.

December 2005

Nagitsuji Hospital and Kuwabara Hospital were newly built, relocated, and integrated, opening under the name Nagitsuji Hospital (169 beds).
